School tells of DHM adjustments

The Crofton Community School District will be taking steps to limit spectator attendance at winter activities, yet still allow for attendance by fans from both schools. The measures are intended to be in compliance with the latest Directed Health Measure (DHM) and will be effective December 1, 2020. New DHM rules released for Nebraska
A new Directed Health Measure was released by Governor Pete Ricketts and the Department of Health and Human Services as of Tuesday, Dec. 1, and will be in effect until December 31, unless renewed or extended. City Staff Will Be Flushing Water Hydrants on Monday, Nov. 23 in the early afternoon.
Customers may experience disruption in service or discoloration in the water during this time.
Contact the City Office for any service interruptions that persist, and allow water to run to attempt to remedy discoloration.

Snow piled up Tuesday...
Starting early Tuesday, Nov. 10, snow began falling, and it kept falling, and kept falling, until more than 4-5 inches were reported around the area-as shown by these shots at the Crofton Veteran's Memorial and the South Park area. By mid-afternoon on Tuesday, weather had cleared.

Crofton Students explore quilting

Jonelle Thoene's 12-member Textiles class at Crofton High School is making quilts. The students in the class each get the opportunity to go out and find their own fabric to make their perfect lap quilt. To get to the point of finally making the quilts, Thoene taught her students the anatomy of a sewing machine, and had them practice sewing pieces of fabric together.
